Despite the rapid growth of the Chinese nonprofit sector within the last 20 years, research shows Chinese nonprofit employees experience high rates of burnout and turnover. This has led to an increase in organizational instability and a decrease in service quality. This study examines the effect of mindfulness on job performance and whether positive and negative affect (PANA) and work engagement mediated this relationship in a sample of 233 Chinese nonprofit employees.
