A new study by a UTSA associate professor of mechanical engineering uses computer simulations to calculate the likely airborne spread of coronavirus particles. Though the study found plumes of the particles could travel more than a mile before being diluted, it does not show for how long those plumes could cause someone to be infected with COVID-19.
