Australian Strategic Policy Institue's Michael Shoebridge says Australia doesn't have access to next-generation lethal combat drones because Defence is “stuck on buying the things it knows well”. He told Sky News host Peta Credlin, “it's also stuck on using very slow contracting and procurement processes” to obtain the “very expensive” ships, submarines and armoured vehicles.
