While we have been enjoying some slightly lower humidity today, our forecast calls for the hot and muggy air to return this weekend. That means high temperatures in the low to mid 90s and heat indices over 100. Late July and early August are typically our hottest time of the year. These days are often called the Dog Days of Summer. This phrase can be traced back thousands of years to the days of the Roman Empire.
