The body of Alisha Ann Heinrich, 18 months, was found in the Escatawpa River under the Interstate 10 bridge near Moss Point, Miss., the morning of Dec. 5, 1982. The toddler remained unidentified until last week, when authorities announced that DNA had linked her to relatives in Joplin, Mo. Her mother, Gwendolyn Mae Clemons, 23, remains missing.
