Ferroptosis is a regulated cell death process initiated by iron-dependent phospholipid peroxidation and is mainly suppressed by GPX4-dependent and FSP1-dependent surveillance mechanisms. However, how the ferroptosis surveillance system is regulated during cancer development remains largely unknown.
