Hein Schumacher's new Action Plan looks a tad inactive. Unilever's newish chief executive said on Thursday that the $118 billion consumer goods giant would focus on around 30 “power brands”. But he largely stuck to previous financial targets and left the group's profitability aspirations rather vague. Back in 2017 Unilever fought off a Kraft Heinz takeover approach by pledging a 20% operating margin; now there just isn't a target.
