Tephritidae pests are significant agricultural pests with a notable impact on the economy, with a wide range of species and most having broad host ranges and strong reproductive abilities. However, the wolfberry fruit fly, Neoceratitis asiatica (Becker), is a Tephritidae fly which only harms wolfberry. Here, we assembled and annotated N. asiatica genome at the chromosome level and compared it with the genomic and transcriptomic information from other Tephritidae flies.
