Louisiana Governor Signs Law Establishing Sales Tax Holiday for Recovery From Hurricanes, COVID-19

The Louisiana Governor Oct. 28 signed a law establishing a sales and use tax holiday to provide relief for citizens recovering from the Hurricane Laura, Hurricane Delta, and COVID-19 pandemic. The law includes measures providing that: 1) the sales tax levied by the state shall not apply to the first $2,500 of the sales price or cost price of any consumer purchases of tangible personal property, which occur on Nov. 20 and Nov.
