Over the course of just 24 hours this holiday weekend, northwest Nevada was inundated with 2-3 months' worth of rain, drenching Burning Man festival-goers, and trapping them in ankle-deep mud. Tens of thousands of "burners" as attendees call themselves, continue to be isolated within Black Rock City, a temporary community north of Reno, as roads in and out of the site are not yet fit for use.
