HDFC-HDFC Bank announce merger, Musk buys stake in Twitter & more

Mortgage lender Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) on Monday said its board has approved the merger of its wholly-owned subsidiaries HDFC Investments Limited and HDFC Holdings Limited with HDFC Bank Limited. Meanwhile, Tesla Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk has taken a 9.2 per cent passive stake in social media giant Twitter Inc, according to a US Securities and Exchange Commission filing Monday. Shares of Twitter climbed as much as 26 per cent in premarket trading.
