This week, India lost its gem, the bling of the musical crown— the legendary singer-composer Bappi Lahiri. He breathed his last on February 15 at a Mumbai hospital. He was 69. While fans continue to mourn this heartbreaking loss, Bappi Lahiri will live on in our memory. He had a distinctive style in making music that set him apart from others. Bappi Da popularised disco music in India. His melodious songs are earworms too! Even fashion-wise, this man was way ahead of his time.
