Melbourne Lord Mayor Sally Capp says the “lockdown lags” will continue to hurt small businesses in the city and there is a need for a “comprehensive” support program like JobKeeper to provide them with financial stability. “It is pleasing that we're coming out of lockdown but of course not quite unbridled joy yet,” she told Sky News Australia. “It's the lockdown lags that continue to hurt small business, particularly, owners and their teams.
