Mexican dogs travel from Sonora to Escondido to Encinitas to begin new lives

Ten puppies and adult dogs who began in the darkness Friday, Sept. 4, in the Mexican state of Sonora crossed into the United States then spent the night in Escondido before being transferred to the Rancho Coastal Humane Society (RCHS) in Encinitas Saturday morning, Sept. 5.
