▪️Sleep refers to a natural state of reduced mental and physical activity in people. This process is critical and should be respected once the body demands of it.
▪️During sleep, even the body organs have a reduced rate of activities- ( that's why you're told to avoid eating and going bed immediately- coz this does injustice and damage not only to the stomach but to the whole body)
▪️Sleep is necessary because body muscles tissues are repaired, energy is restored, hormones are released to help the body to grow and repair itself, the brain cells get revitaziled etc
▪️To ensure you have good quality sleep; Avoid screen time/light before hours before sleeping, avoid caffeinated drinks, establish a regular bed time routine, relax before sleep using essential oils therapy.
🍒PART 2 🍒 Melatonin is a hormone that is naturally produced in the brain. This hormone is responsible for managing the sleep- wake cycle.
▪️It is naturally produced at night in high concentrations so as to prepare your body and mind for bed time rest. As the day begins, it reduces in quantity.
▪️Disrupting the sleep wake cycle by sleeping for less hours, not sleeping at night nor getting enough rest interrupts the normal biological rhythms
▪️This may lead to lack of concentration and focus, during the day, low energy, stress, fatigue amidst others
▪️Work hard, but ensure you rest enough too for good re energization for the next day always😊
