Life as a Christian: The Few Biblical Solutions for Our Troubles
Spiritual welfare in Christianity is known to be the way of the true God. It is seen as a simple road far from temptation and immorality. Although, it may take experience to acknowledge that it is a bumpy road. Many feel as though they should give up. Others tend to find a reason for disconnecting with their beliefs. Some say it is a stage.
I say, don’t give up!
No one said it was an easy pathway.
When we hear that the Holy Bible is our guide, there is more to that statement. This article will outline a few Bible verses and stories that believers of God engage with. Lesson by lesson, topic by topic.
All things happen for the good of God’s people
All good things happen to Christians and all bad things can happen to us as well, ; Have you ever asked yourself, "Why do the bad things happen?"
Sometimes God will let bad things happen to us in order to challenge us. He allows Satan fall into earth so that people can see that God has helped them in the troubles that Satan brings. Look at the example of Paul:
In the book of Acts in the Bible, there is a powerful account of Paul and Silas praising God while they were imprisoned in Philippi. Despite being beaten and thrown into prison, Paul and Silas chose to worship God through their difficult circumstances.
As they sang hymns and prayed, an earthquake shook the prison, causing the doors to open and their chains to fall off. This miraculous event not only led to the salvation of the jailer and his household, but also demonstrated the power of praising God in the midst of trials. Paul and Silas' unwavering faith and dedication to worshipping God serves as a powerful example for believers today, reminding us that even in the darkest of times, we can find hope and strength through praising God.
Just from that, we can see that when we are in our troubles, God is awaiting us. He was there for Paul and Silas when they were jailed and to be persecuted. Even in their darkest hour, they saw God and praised him. They saw nothing but hope and faith in their God and He delivered. If Paul and Silas were beaten, jailed and soon to be persecuted, and yet they were saved by the Lord our God, who are we to not be answered to with our faith in our Father.
For Jesus himself (in Matthew 17:20) said, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you".
Then what are the problems of the world in the face of the Lord our God and in the face of our faith in him.
We should always praise God in our troubles. For we know he is with us. Speaking of praises and worship, one should know.
Thanksgiving as a form of joy
From the verse 1st Thessalonians 5:18 which says, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you". We learn that by being thankful in all situations, we are reminded to focus on the good things in our lives and to not dwell on the negative.
This attitude of gratitude can lead to a more positive outlook, increased resilience, and a greater sense of peace and contentment. It is shown to be a form of joy in our lives. According to this verse, God’s will is for us to be happy and see his light in every circumstance. He wants us to look at positivity instead of being sad.
Additionally, giving thanks in all circumstances is a way to show our trust and faith in God. It acknowledges His sovereignty and control over our lives, and demonstrates our willingness to submit to His will.
Overall, 1st Thessalonians 5:18 serves as a powerful reminder to cultivate a heart of gratitude and to trust in God's plan for our lives. It encourages us to look for the blessings in every situation, and to be thankful for the many gifts and provisions that God has given us.
The story of creation
When most Christians look at the story of creation, they look at the genesis of all life and the first principles given to man by God. But one may not notice the following situation:
“When God created the fish, he spoke to the sea, When God made the vegetation, he spoke to the earth, When God created man, he spoke to himself. Today when you take a fish out of the water, It dies. When you take a tree out of the soil, It dies. And when you remove God from a man’s life They die (spiritually)”.
In the Bible there are 2 main types of death. There is the physical death, the one we all know. Then there is the second death; As mentioned in Revelation 20:13, this type of death is where God’s spirit leaves a human being. The spirit of God, the breath of life he gave us during creation. If in your previous life, you denied God to your death, your eternal life after judgement will be without God and you will perish in hell. This is the ‘second death’. This death can also be assured before you die. As long as you deny God to the point that you lose his spirit in your life. Believers of God do not go through the second death. This means that they live their eternal life with God after judgement.
Therefore, when one is disconnected with God, you have lost a part of yourself. One may feel at a certain stage of their life that they are missing a part of their life. They waste the rest of their life looking for what is missing in their lives. They search the earth just to realise that what they are looking for is not in the physical world. It is with God. The battles in their mind and soul. Their battles with the devil. It is only the spirit of God that can help them claim victory.
Why separate yourself from him? For it is nothing but loss you will confront. The way of the Lord is the way of life
Conclusion
It is important to see God as joy, light, and life. By viewing God in this way, we can experience a sense of happiness and fulfilment in our lives. God's presence can bring light into our darkest moments, guiding us towards a brighter future.
Additionally, recognizing God as the source of life can give us a deeper appreciation for the gift of existence. Embracing these perspectives can help us cultivate a deeper connection with God and lead a more meaningful and purposeful life.

Critical Evaluation:
The article presents a series of arguments centered around the theme of spiritual welfare in Christianity, emphasizing the importance of faith and gratitude in the face of adversity. The reasoning is generally clear, with the author effectively using biblical references to support their claims. For instance, the story of Paul and Silas serves as a compelling example of unwavering faith during trials. However, the article could benefit from a more structured approach to its arguments, as some points feel repetitive or underdeveloped.
While the article aims to inspire hope, it occasionally lacks nuance, particularly in its treatment of suffering. The assertion that "all good things happen to Christians" oversimplifies the complexities of life and faith. Additionally, the article does not adequately address the potential for different interpretations of suffering within the Christian faith, which could enhance its fairness and depth.
In the real world, the ideas presented could encourage individuals facing challenges to maintain their faith, but the lack of acknowledgment of diverse experiences may alienate some readers.
Quality of Information:
The language used in the article is accessible, making it easy to understand for a broad audience. However, some technical terms, such as "sovereignty," could benefit from brief explanations to ensure clarity. The information presented appears accurate and aligns with common Christian teachings, though the article does not provide citations for the biblical verses mentioned, which could enhance its reliability.
There are no apparent signs of fake news or misleading information, but the article does not delve deeply into the theological implications of its claims, which could leave readers wanting more. The piece largely reiterates established ideas within Christianity rather than introducing new concepts or perspectives.
Overall, while the article conveys a positive message, it could add more value by exploring the complexities of faith and suffering in greater depth.
Use of Evidence and References:
The article relies heavily on biblical references to support its claims, which are relevant to the topic of spiritual welfare. However, the lack of citations or references to scholarly sources limits the credibility of the arguments presented. The evidence provided, such as the story of Paul and Silas, is compelling but could be strengthened by including additional examples or contrasting viewpoints.
There are gaps in the evidence, particularly regarding the discussion of suffering and its role in faith. More support is needed to address the complexities of these experiences and how they relate to spiritual welfare.
